I have recently graduated high school and I'm going on to play collegiate volleyball at Pacific University in Forest Grove Oregon. I am a very bubbly, enthusiastic, happy and fun person who, of course, loves volleyball. I started playing volleyball when I was just 15 years old but i caught on to the game fast and am a very well rounded player and soon to be coach. I love seeing people do their best so expect me to be very encouraging and motivating to get these girls better. I will put my all into making these girls better and all i ask for in return is effort and respect.

Thanks and I'm excited to start camp!

Leah :)

Melanie McClure--Coach

Hi I am Melanie McClure. I originally lived in Spokane, Washington when I was little and grew up there for the majority of my life. I ended up moving to Reno, Nevada and I graduated this year and now I am off to college. I am really excited for this camp. I have been a camper at the NBC Camps for the past three years. This is an amazing camp and I can truly say that I have learned a lot from this camp. Parents that are undecided about sending their children to this camp should think again. This will be the best weekend of their child’s summer. I am very happy to be coach and really EXCITED to see how successful this camp will be once again.

It's going to be a great week!

Whitney Santos--Coach

cHey everyone, I’m Whitney Santos, a redshirt sophomore at Whitworth University. Originally, I am from Waiehu, Maui, and a graduate of Kamehameha Schools Maui. I am blessed enough to have been named All-Northwest Conference 2nd team as libero for the conference champion Pirates last year. Volleyball has been a passion of mine since I was only 10 years old, and over that time period, I have had the opportunity to learn from great coaches about the game as well as important life lessons that will stick with me for the rest of my life. I am ready to take advantage of the awesome opportunity NBC has given me to pass along my knowledge to young, aspiring players.

Alex Wexler--Junior Coach

My name is Alex Wexler and I will be a Junior at Pullman High School this coming school year. I was born and raised in Pullman and I love the small town atmosphere. I enjoy a challenge and always strive to do my best in school. I am spending a lot time this summer working as a waitress at New Garden, a local restaurant. I am also spending a little time volunteering at the Evergreen Vet Clinic. I first started playing volleyball when I was 10 years old and immediately loved it. I think playing volleyball, or any sport, is a great way for young people to build their self esteem, learn team work, and push their limits so that they can be their best.

Carol Rydbom--Store Manager

My name is Carol Sayles Rydbom, but at NBC camps, I'm better known as Jamie Smart's mom...and what a huge blessing that is! This will be my third year running the volleyball camp store. I am really looking forward to being immersed in the the Lord's inspirational "world" of NBC volleyball, to be a part of this amazing staff and to get acquainted with so many young women. I graduated from Washington State University in education. While living most of my life on the Palouse, I have had the distinct privilege of serving in campus ministry, working in public service and public relations for the City of Pullman and for Washington State University. Most recently I enjoyed raising private support for WSU scholarships, fellowships and professorships. While all of these professional activities have been rewarding, nothing can ever compare to the greatest gift of all - to be mom to our two daughters, Jamie and Jenni. Sure looking forward to seeing you all...be sure to visit the camp store!
